Was always planned to be.
Re: It begins... National Cargo 404
Wouldn't be surprised to see a C-5/C-17 in at some point.

Scramble has just posted an update with 6-8 still being the figure being deployed. I guess all we can say is see what happens, and roll on the next few weeks!

I've been told that its the 343d Bomb Squadron bringing over the BUFF's, no solid evidence though to prove it.
If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

Re: It begins... National Cargo 404
Whats the parking situation at the 27 end? park in the villages and walk up? I've been going to Fairford since 1996 but never outside of RIAT week.
Re: It begins... National Cargo 404
For the support flights etc probably be room at the 27 end in the various lay-bys etc across the road (without blocking any gates), once the main acts get here it is probably the small road leading up to the Quarrys etc, but need to park carefully or the huge lorries going up there will take your car with them!
Re: It begins... National Cargo 404
Haven't been up there in a long while to view anything, is there plenty of space along there?saint1 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 12:31 amFor the support flights etc probably be room at the 27 end in the various lay-bys etc across the road (without blocking any gates), once the main acts get here it is probably the small road leading up to the Quarrys etc, but need to park carefully or the huge lorries going up there will take your car with them!

Nice one, thank you!saint1 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 12:31 amFor the support flights etc probably be room at the 27 end in the various lay-bys etc across the road (without blocking any gates), once the main acts get here it is probably the small road leading up to the Quarrys etc, but need to park carefully or the huge lorries going up there will take your car with them!

Re: It begins... National Cargo 404
Think its Washpool Lane, I've known hundreds of cars up there. Again, avoid gates and the entrance to the Lane itself where the aggregate lorries swing round, but there is always one that can't be bothered to walk a few hundred yards...jingernut wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 9:37 amHaven't been up there in a long while to view anything, is there plenty of space along there?saint1 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 12:31 amFor the support flights etc probably be room at the 27 end in the various lay-bys etc across the road (without blocking any gates), once the main acts get here it is probably the small road leading up to the Quarrys etc, but need to park carefully or the huge lorries going up there will take your car with them!

Hi guys and galls,
Did anything arrive this morning?
Cheers
Pune
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!
Re: It begins... National Cargo 404
It doesn’t seem so, not sure there’s even been a NOTAM. Duff info maybe?

Re: It begins... National Cargo 404
This got me as well ( I checked to see if it had arrived), then I looked again at the message.
Due to arrive tomorrow morning (it departs Barksdale tonight).
Hope this helps.
