it appears that in the aircraft spotlight page dbh have said they hope that on the sunday it will be in the static park.

I really hope it is on static on the Sunday as I am hoping they will have that Star Wars Yoda patch for sale to add to my Darth Vader F-4 Phantom patch.......Great update today well done again DBH and still 7 or 8 updates to go and it's already looking a great airshow  :thumb:

Maybe a misprint then, never seen them say in the spotlight section if an A/C will be static or flying as there's a separate list for that. Down to flypast Fri-Sat. Be nice on static park though. :thumb:

Saw on UKAR that there's less than 100 aircraft in the static at the moment. Call people a melt all you want, that's an alarmingly low number if you choose to compare to previous years!

With another 7 updates to go and with the RAF still to confirm there additions to the static park plus USAF are still to add to there already excellent contribution I don't think there is anything to worry about.

56 days to go, 8 weeks to go, I'm not worried. :thumb:

Anyway. Why would people be surprised if RIAT is starting to thin out? Air Arms/Countries owning less & less aircraft, declining to attend, buying similar frames to many others, reasons go on. It'll slowly creep down each year. So enjoy it whilst it lasts.

I called him a melt - because he is one with every ridiculous comment that he types.

Attendances from other nations will more than likely get worse so enjoy it while it lasts.
I get the disappointment but there are some cracking appearances this year. :thumb:

And still plenty of updates to come yet

As has been said before, if you don’t like it then don’t go. I’m pretty sure the organisers won’t be too fussed considering it basically sells out every year...

I hope as someone that has been to every RIAT that in the next few weeks I can say wow, well done, not seen them before!
All very ordinary at the minute I'm afraid.

Graham, be honest... when was the last time you saw a pair of AV-8Bs displaying?

There's another "previous years" customer.

We don't live in the past, as much as we'd all like to. People need to stop comparing to previous years.

It's like a broken record on this thread

I'm looking forward to this year after a change of plan last year. Not spending the whole time behind the camera, enjoy the flying for what it is and have a relaxing time. Much more enjoyable than 'I must see this!'
