Today we can confirm a diverse mix of static aircraft! The USAF will be sending a B-52H and KC-135, whilst the Royal Air Force have confirmed a Voyager tanker and Hawk T.1 from RAF Leeming. Also joining will be a QinetiQ owned PC-21, operated by the Empire Test Pilot School.![]()

Last time it was available it allowed the public to get up closer to some of the National display team aircraft and the RAF flying participants that were on the southside. Obviously easier to do on the Friday with the shorter flying displays which is why it isn't able to be repeated over the weekend.
I believe pit lane is open 0730 to 1000. It then closes in order to reconfigure barriers and FOD plod the area, prior to the flying display starting at 1100.Red-Eye-Knight wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2019 4:21 pmFlightline UK wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2019 3:33 pmIt is a reconfiguration of the crowd-side parking areas for some of the display aircraft at the eastern end.

That's great thanks for the info, I take it that it's only open after the flying display is finished? Or is it open before it starts with it being the shorter display day?
