Lens's for RIAT.

Post by John flightpath » Wed Jul 17, 2019 9:59 pm

What lens or lens's are you using for RIAT. ?

I am considering taking the Sigma 70-300 and the Canon 55-250. I'll have a 1.4 converter in the bag aswell. Usually go with the big Sigma 150-500 but ended up with neck and shoulder ache last year, and IMO the display line never seems to be too far away, unlike some other events.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers

I always found my Sigma 150-300mm inadequate for most air shots at RIAT in the past - I was always envious of those with the 500mm+ lenses.

No need to be envious Steve. It can be a pain carrying them round all day, especially with all the other bits and bobs you're carrying aswell. Even with 500 I have to crop here and there anyway. Thanks for the feedback.
