RAF Waddington - E3D Celebration

Post by stevejb » Tue Sep 28, 2021 9:07 pm

Waddington today hosted a parade celebrating 30 years of service by the E3D fleet, as the final out of service date draws ever closer.
The intended BBMF flypast was called off due to the high winds, so ZH101 performed both the opening and closing flypast.

Following this, it did another four circuits in some lovely light.

Rivet joint ZZ665 also returned at the same time and did four circuits alternating with the E3D

Some great catches in very good conditions. Pic 4 seems a bit off white-balance wise, but it could also just be my Phone not doing it right :'(

Thanks, Bart

Fantastic set Steve. So pleased that someone recorded this special event, It was just unfortunate that I couldn't travel over.
The E3 did cross over Grimsby so did get a few distant shots off.
Brilliant pics and thanks again for posting

Blimey. Apart from that decorated female officer, the remainder of the Force all (and no disrespect intended) look old enough to be in Dad's Army. No surprise that personnel don't want to relocate at their stage in life.
