Some large engines running ?

Post by Rhubarb » Thu Nov 17, 2022 8:13 pm

I'll keep this short and sweet ! On Sunday 13th November I was with my family on Hatfield Moors which for those of you down south is very close to Doncaster Sheffield Civil Airport ! Well we all heard three runs of what sounded to me like the Vulcan ? It could have been a 747 cargo I suppose but there you are ! Make of it what you want. It was around mid day !
Cheers

I'm not sure that this is true as it was flagged up on Facebook group that there are visiting opportunities for engine runs next year too . Perhaps others may know more ?

I was hoping to go over Sunday to see and hear XH558 but now I'm not sure?

Can anyone confirm please if it is going ahead?

Cheers in advance.

Apparently there was a note on the VTSS website which showed airside tours on the 27 November and 11 December but both sold out and a comment that other tours would take place in early 2023 .
If planning on going probably best to contact the Trust for confirmation of details and times ?
