Organised Cycle Rides inside Marham Base (RAFA Rides)

My better half discovered this series of organised cycle rides within the airbase on Sunday 4th of June.

It might be a chance for what is today, a rare view of inside RAF Marham.

If you have an electric bike, it might even be possible for those who are not so fit anymore!

We welcome cyclists of all abilities to RAF Marham, the home of the F-35 Lightning.

Our unique cycling event will take place entirely within RAF Marham, using our aircraft taxiways. We guarantee a smoother surface than you’ll find on public roads, no vehicle traffic and the possibility of seeing the station from a truly exceptional vantage point…

In the morning you can choose from 50km and 80km distances and in the afternoon, from 10km, 20km and 30km distances. Once you register, you’ll receive your special RAFA Rides 2023 cycling jersey by post and on the day we will present you with your finisher’s medal. Refreshments will also be provided to keep you fuelled throughout your ride.

Thanks very much for posting this. Me and two friends went over and did this and had a blast. Certainly a very unique view inside the base and the staff that organised it did brilliantly.

Lol, we possibly met - we were the two 'cheats' on e-bikes.

Certainly a superb day out - with a bit of luck it will be run again next year.
