Actually all the timings are on the Cosford website now so probably best to refer to that, assuming they will update it…

Weather ok at least!

Couple of passes by ZM408 by the look of it. Guess you can afford to keep highlights secret when your almost guaranteed to sell out..

Well that could have gone better. I have sympathy for anyone in their management team who are enthusiasts, they may be gutted after the run of cancellations before and during the show. A bit of a disappointing exit for the RAF C-130, I would have expected more of a celebration than a quick single flypast but there you go. At least it wasn't the one with the 'special' tail.

Still a sell out crowd though, hopefully the show will be better next year.

Looks like the Lancaster is inbound to close the show at 1700??? Not the F35

Err, it hasn't finished yet! Technically anyway-no idea on what weather is up there..
Herc flypast I'm guessing was after the Falcons landed? Which is traditional after a Falcons display. The fact that the Hercules was part of the display was an achievement in itself. Can't remember the last time that was achieved-an early Bournemouth airshow was the last I remember...
And again, easy to sell out when you have a big event like an airshow and only limited ticket numbers.

From the Cosford Online Radio commentary, yes, just before the Lancaster's closing slot.

From what the BBMF have said, do I take it the Typhoon/Lancaster display didn't take place then?

Lanc was broke, so missed it's original slot.

It closed the show with a solo display.

A post on UKAR has the display schedule which shows KC-135 at 1630hrs, with F-35B closing the show at 1700
The KC-135 was a no show. But the last two finales were the F35 'ZM155' & BBMF Lanc PA474

F35 did a pass then a hover display but no reheat in its display. Then the Lanc finished VERY hot day off.

He's almost certainly one of the Red Arrows brigade that packs up and leaves as soon as the Reds finish their display.

Well. What can i say. More cancellations than British rail. Crammed in like sardines on the flight line. My first cosford. Possibly my last. It had good points but the viewing area was ridiculous tbh.

I'm sure there's positive reviews to come, but yet to see evidence of any so far

Took a friend who has never been to an airshow and they really enjoyed it and that perhaps sums it up.
'first timers' and families who just want a day out probably thought it good.
For me a very poor show with gaps and cancellations. (tremendous heat haze by the way)
Very poor display by the Herc, A400, F35 and the light aircraft aerobatics were very high which is the norm on UK shows now.
Certainly wouldn't go again and I was in the Cosford club which made it a little more relaxing.
Only the thought of RIAT in a few weeks kept me sane !

I felt sorry for the organisers, in my 35+ years of going to airshows. I can’t remember so many participants having to drop out in at one day show. They tried their best with an already thin line up.

First experience of Cosford Club, gotta say the right choice looking in to the general ticket area.

1, what Herc, A400 and F35 displays? They were down to drop parachutists/flypast(surprise on the day!!)/flypasts, I don't see how anyone can complain about that.

For me it was a decent day out, weather was a huge bonus best Cosford weather I can ever remember. There were very noticeable gaps in the display but that’s already been covered in the many unfortunate cancellations unfortunate but can’t be helped. In terms of the displays themselves it often comes down to expectations, I went knowing the herc, A400 and F35 were not full displays and as such what they did met my expectations. In terms of the others, the typhoon was by far then best British typhoon display I have seen in many years, the Swiss were very good and unlike at RIAT the RJF didn’t feel lost across a huge display line as such I could appreciate their display much more than usual. The big disappointment for me were the reds it felt like they were displaying in Wolverhampton they were that far away and as for the routine it’s the same, time to change it up a bit I think. Overall a very enjoyable day out. Can’t wait for RIAT !!

better than the clear blue of 2018, the almost all sunny 2019 or the fair amount of blue skies in 2022? You're a tough critic! :Wow:
