Plenty in the Loop waiting, I'm on Bwlch top shelf, quite a few up here and Cad East is rammed according to word on the hill.
Happy spotting and hope you all get a good view, pictures and or videos

Re: C130 retirement tour route 14th June
I wonder if anyone on top of Mount Eryri will get a (distant?) view of it on its way to Valley?
Re: C130 retirement tour route 14th June
Seems to be bang on schedule so far, just leaving Anglesey.

Re: C130 retirement tour route 14th June
I was hoping that they would’ve flown the Great Glen/Loch Ness l/l on their way up to Lossie, but no! Seems to quite a lot of missed opportunities along the way.
Re: C130 retirement tour route 14th June
OMEN 1 just checked in on ESSEX. QSY Cambridge

I’m at Seaford and saw them banking over Eastbourne from a distance. They flew further out to sea towards to wind farms (for those who know the are).
Shame they didn’t fly closer.
Thanks to all those for uploading the flight details.

Re: C130 retirement tour route 14th June
I’m Not bitter but I still think Sennybridge and Pembrey should have been on the route , but then again I’m sure many others think other places that they’ve frequented over the years should have been on the route. I’m happy to have seen so many over the years and many 5 ships through the Usk & Wye valleys always using the callsign “Startrek” formation.

Formation diverted to Fairford at the end - low level run and break, very nice.

Apart from approaching and departing Lossie and losing height at the Solway to enter the lakes at LL, I don't think they were below 15K over Scotland.

Here is me asking why I wasted a good 40 minutes this afternoon down at Cramond near Edinburgh when no doubt they wouldn't have appeared anyway as they would have been high level. Unless the original plan (the one they should have stuck to) was to have them lower?
Re: C130 retirement tour route 14th June
I was surprised they did not route down via Leuchars - they kept inland and passed within approx 8 miles of my home - we heard them but did not see them - they were at around 20,000' at the time of course

Just glad I opted for Arthur's Seat so I had the backup plan of photographing birds on the lochs.Unknown74 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 6:49 pmHere is me asking why I wasted a good 40 minutes this afternoon down at Cramond near Edinburgh when no doubt they wouldn't have appeared anyway as they would have been high level. Well done 109sqn, I had the same when I saw the Cruise Liner on the Forth when I was heading home!
