Re: F1 2024
Fancy spoiling the end of FP2 by dropping those WhatsApp messages! They're out there so I guess it's okay to discuss, just some impartial observations So at face value it is alleged he was trying to get in there with his PA, if genuine then it's pretty nailed on he'd be gone I'd say. Didn't say anything especially bad but was asked to stop and didn't. One especially dodgy pic in the set I saw, in a completely different format to the other messages so that's questionable. So I'm assuming that RB didn't accept them as genuine which is possible. They are all screenshots, I guess the originals weren't on the phone anymore otherwise it would 100% clear who sent them. Anyone could add a contact as CH, add a pic, get a friend to send some dodgy messages, screenshot and delete. I'm not sure if WhatsApp leaves a 'footprint' once messages are deleted? Now if they'd been sent by text they could have a look at the phone bills to see if it all tied in, I've had to do that a few times. Unless RB have been especially dodgy in ignoring evidence or not being thorough then I still don't see this going anywhere. Either way one of them is a victim here.

Just seems very odd, those screenshots, almost don't seem real? Time will tell but I feel this will just drag on and on and on...either someone wants a quick buck from Red Bull, or he was misbehaving...

Re: F1 2024
I can't see what all the fuss is about - IF its true he wouldn't be the first person in the world to have a fling at work or fancy their secretary and it's a private matter between him and his wife to sort out if there is anything to sort out.
If the woman ( and I am assuming it's a woman not that it matters) concerned has a complaint about coercive behaviour she should take her phone to the police and let them deal with it
Forgot to say - I reckon it's a put up job - he is not daft and he could have set up disappearing messages or cleared conversation on WhatsApp
I am more concerned about Catherine - again a private matter between William and her family but I hope she is alright.

Re: F1 2024
is the downside of WhatsApp?
Privacy Concerns: Guarding Your Personal Data
WhatsApp, although designed with user convenience in mind, raises significant privacy concerns. While its end-to-end encryption ensures message security during transit, it collects an array of user data, such as contact details, device information, and even location data.
I only logged on to see members views on the practice and thought I ought to boost my IT knowledge

Agree with paras. 2,3 & 4.
However, para 1 would be unprofessional behaviour which could impact the performance of the team and would, at least, be worthy of a final warning - for both parties. (Which isn’t to say it doesn’t happen, probably quite a lot)

Agreed, although the messages read as though something happened between them but then she didn't want anything to happen anymore. Trouble is when you say stop and someone continues that's when it becomes an issue. I'm leaning towards the messages not being genuine. I mean how stupid would you have to be, a married man in a senior position?iainpeden wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 8:10 amSlogen51

It's not only that, but it's the type of messages and how they are said...looks like a conversation between 2 teenagers!2e1var wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 9:03 amAgreed, although the messages read as though something happened between them but then she didn't want anything to happen anymore. Practice was interesting, pace showing nothing yet, other than maybe (hopefully) Red Bull have some issues outside of the Team Principal. I feel it always takes a couple of race until true pace reveals itself.

Totally agree with that -: Horner is in a high profile position and the directors are totally within their rights to bin him or make any other legal commercial decisions .iainpeden wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 8:10 amSlogen51

The comments about trump etc I don't think are relevant because they are elected officials and the public can expect a certain standard of behaviour and integrity.

Bill Clinton was unlucky - in TXT he just asked Monica if she wanted to see the Presidential CLOCK - it just came out wrong !plmc135 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 9:26 amSenior position such as POTUS, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump2e1var wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 9:03 amAgreed, although the messages read as though something happened between them but then she didn't want anything to happen anymore. Right, before they show their hands in Q3 whats everyone's predictions for the season. I'm sticking my neck right out. Merc have got their act together. Lewis champion, Lando runner up. George 3rd. No bias there.

If the Directors or employer had cause to dismiss it would need to stand up and the authenticity of the released messages are not proven are they? What possible grounds would an employer have to ‘bin’ an employee on these grounds. It would be immediately unfair dismissal.
I’m mindful of the false claims of higher profile people that ruined others lives, often only proven false after some had died.
Re: F1 2024
100%, I think it's down to the authenticity. If we assume the leaked messages are the ones RB had access to then they can't have been able to prove they actually came from Horner.XWP29 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 6:36 pmslogen51 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 2:05 pmTotally agree with that -: Horner is in a high profile position and the directors are totally within their rights to bin him or make any other legal commercial decisionsiainpeden wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 8:10 amSlogen51

Re: F1 2024
It would be unfair but the owners of a company can hire and fire who they like - Horner might have redress for unfair dismissal but he would still be dismissed.
By the way I don't believe the accusations of coercive or controlling behaviour - it looks like a chance for someone to cause trouble or make a lot of money. I obviously have no idea about his personal relationships but they are irrelevant and of no concern - anyone can be led astray it just happens - it's in your DNA!
The messages I have seen were more sexting than bullying and as mentioned seem to be unattributable to anyone
"Red Bull's Max Verstappen put in a crushing performance to set pole position for the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix." according to the BBC with Perez in fifth
If anyone should be concerned about his future at Redball it is Sergio Perez!

Can’t see any ethical company/board firing in these circumstances as it stands, without proper evidence, damaging its brand and reputation.
