FRIAT 2024

I have secured my FRIAT ticket for the first time but I've been emailing and dropping the odd call to them for months. Next one is to try and get camping booked and I was hoping to get on Totterdown this year not under the approach site for a change, but despite their website stating new booking will be available from Jan 5th I've still not been able to get a booking in place.

Has anyone had any contact with Totterdown camp site staff? I'd appreciate any heads up if there is anything known.

Edit: Totterdown camp site has now started taking bookings and I have a place to rest my head for the duration.

Yes, it was at the end of an email sent on 24th August 2023 titled 'FRIAT 2024 Renewal Process'.

Evening All, I spoke with Wendy today, all is in hand and she's just refreshing the FRIAT members area on the website. The login details should be sent out to all FRIAT members who have booked their seats for RIAT 2024 next week. This email will also included the details of the upcoming FRIAT Forum. Just booked FRIAT for the first time in about 10 years. Have i got it correct that there is no longer an internal bus between the park and view and the enclosure anymore so for departures i need to get over to the blue gate for the enclosure (camping at FAC so the other days can walk to P&V and into the show but will have to work around packing up the tent and getting the car to blue in time as walking is a bit of a trek!).

3) What's going on with American demos not coming to RIAT? (even though its been asked and answered 20x times)
4) What is the real story behind Argentina last year?

I do hope someone asks about Security preperations this year. Last year on the Saturday it seemed like they were headless chickens all over the place with them being hit by new rules only a week or so before the show.

When I sent my decline notice, I did ask the question about the why Swindon or Cheltenham shuttle buses isn’t included in the price. Don’t think it’ll get mentioned though it only applies to a handful of people

I do think this came up a few years back and the answer was it is an add-on rather than part of every ticket so as they can let the bus company know in advance how many to expect and gives them a rough idea of how many buses were needed in advance.

If I was there, I'd ask why there is no shuttlebus for departures on Monday. My guess is lack of demand?

Does anyone know when the FRIAT members area will be updated on RIAT website for what was said the the FRIAT Forum?

Seems strange they mentioned it in the Thursday update the other week then nothing since.

First time FRIAT, but been going to Fairford for P&V and a show day for the last 10 or so years.
What catering is available for FRIAT on Thursday and Monday? (non-show days).
I hope at least for a coffee!!

2 burger vans, 1 beer van, ice cream van and a coffee tent. Should be there Thursday through Monday. Just don’t go for food when the Jordanian Falcons are on you’ll regret it

Anyone who does FRIAT but gets the shuttle bus in might want to check what’s going on. That dodgy email they sent saying you can’t purchase bus travel on the day now? So should mean bus travel is included with FRIAT tickets. Will be emailing Wendy to get clarification
