It was still parked up close to Marston Meysey on the south western side of the airfield around midday when I drove pass, but it could go anytime, if it passed it's engine checks and there's a tanker available.

With no reservation up in AR-20 or AR-62 in the US, it looks unlikely that it'll leave today.

The UK side is still there - under EGTT

Maybe for something completely different?

Quid 16 is planned to leave Mildenhall at 07:00 and recover to Fairford - will probably go direct to Fairford in my guess

PS this iconic aircraft is a B-1B not a B1b ( sometimes affectionately called a "bib" by some spotters )

Still here at 0830
No sign of it going yet not even up on ground for engine start calls heard yet
Ground is normally on 339.7 for those with scanners
As an estimate I imagine it would call for start mid to late morning or just after midday at a guess to meet the above ARA timings .
But all quiet on The bone front at the moment

Unless I am misunderstanding the refuelling starts at 14:15 over Cornwall so they probably won't go until 2pm - that is if they are going?

I guess to be a little more accurate ARA10 starts over Bath

RAF Tartan 19 A330 /ZZ336 heading to ARA10 so looks like the bone isn’t going anywhere and the ARA10 booking is for RAF jets

Is there any chance the KC-135 that arrived this morning and which apparently offloaded pax (as per today's UK Movements thread) could have been bringing specialist maintenance/technicians flown in from the US via Mildenhall?

The B-1 has just been towed back down to the B-2 hangars and parked up with a couple of flood lamp units set around it.

If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Any updated news on an engine test or possible departure date?. Got my fingers crossed for a Friday departure as I'm in the area on that day, saves a 160 mile dash!!!
Thanks for any help

27-03-2024. 0545L. Half a dozen vehicles (flashing lights etc) and personnel around the B1. Note.... I'm only reporting what I can see.....this is not a prediction! Still outside B2 hangar.
