Starmer drones on without getting to the point and giving little details.

When you think our choice between Sunak and Starmer is bad. Stand up Biden, just been watching highlights of his performance in the US first presidential debate. That was proper car crash tv

Just had 5 different campaigns flyers through the door. Under a week to go and I’m still undecided who to vote for

Yes indeed, if they are the best that The USA can find to run for POTUS it's a tad concerning.
On the subject of voting, I know which party I will not be voting, I think a tactical vote in my constituency is the way to go..
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

it's ok having tactical votes i guess you can still land up with the wrong party running the country.

110% agree with the previous post

A mate is thinking of voting Tory independent or Reform because he can't vote for our local candidate - Truss.

I pointed out that will split the Tory count and we will have a Labour or Liberal candidate

I am going to say it - I don't mind Sunak, in my opinion he talks a lot of sense.

Let's face we rarely end up with a charismatic PM - they are hardly Hollywood stars but we should be voting on what we believe in and not personalities?

It's not about being charismatic, for me, but the need for a big hitter. The last two who were are Thatcher and Blair but I'm old enough to remember John Smith (who I think would have been great), Jim Callaghan and - if you want charisma, Heath.

We need people who have had real life experience where they have proven themselves in demanding jobs not politicos who have gone to Oxbridge to do PPE, then been a spad then been given a safe seat.

as Gary says all Starmer does is drone on without getting to the point and the times Sunak came back at him on various questions asking what are you going to do and getting no answer time and time again Sunak i know what i'm going to do and spelt it out, and the times Starmer banged on about when i was Chief Prosecutor etc etc

In 1950 the UK population was recorded as 50 million, the area and resources of the country in 2024 is still roughly the same but the population has risen to 68 million.
Whichever party has received my vote over the years, the government always has remained in power and done nothing to solve problems for the general public.
After 12 months on an NHS waiting list and pretty much immobile I paid for treatment. The same NHS team did the work.

My maternal grandfather summed up the situation when talking about the differences between myself and Prince Charles.

“Years ago our forefathers fought with his and we lost “
On the 4th I plan to vote and buy a Lottery ticket, who knows?

Hopefully FC will continue for a few more years

Exactly, and I know it's a highly divisive issue, but I can't help thinking many of the problems we face today come down to this simple fact. Even the argument about GDP growth is spurious as with more people even if GDP grows then GDP per capita often falls.

Thought it was amazing that after a visit to Glasgow Stammer said he was unaware that all the windmills in Scotland and nearly all the associated infrastructure were made or controlled overseas. We have a large field being built offshore here and all the field to shore work has been down by Norwegians (going by the flags on the ships)I googled the Floating crane that was used to erect the towers and it was Dutch.Towers came from China or Far East apparently.Thats a lot of money flowing out of the country to be unaware off,and that is only one part of a massive project. Its been paused now as they cant get a boat to take the towers to the field. Suppose thats Labour for you.

Regarding the earlier comment about John Smith,he very nearly got me to vote Labour and I knew a lot of people who thought the same.

Like a lot of things, though? Hardly down to the party.
