What has happened to the viewing field that had the bus in it.?
I have used Johns field on the past, but as my old dog usually travels with me now it could be an alternative to let her stretch her legs. As I said earlier I have used Johns field when on my own, but John does not allow dogs on his site. He has explained his reasons to me and I respect them.
Any comments would be appreciated.

It either changed owner or the existing one decided to make it private and has fenced it off. Others may know more.

Thanks for the update Bollo, it’s a few years since I spoke to John about the dog.At the time he had no problem with dogs as long as they stayed in the car. Apparently somebody was bitten some time ago and things got nasty for John as it was his property and they claimed he was responsible !.

Yes still open until 6.00pm but as we go into winter will shut earlier

I think there is a Facebook page for the campsite, should have info' there.
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Looking at the wind direction, the planes would probably be coming into land past you if you went to the mound (see https://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.u ... enhall.php). Alternatively, the Nook campsite at the other end would get departures climbing out and arrivals rolling to the end.
