and the same for Wattisham? - any idea how many/what helicopters are based at Wattisham?
Thanks for any help

Re: AAC Airfields
I believe Chinook deep maintenance happens at the Boeing facility at MW along with Fleetlands. ZK554 has been flying from there recently

The Historic Army Aircraft flight with various fixed wing and helicopters are also at Middle Wallop, along with the Army Flying Grading unit operating the Grob Tutor.

Re: AAC Airfields
Boeing's presence at Middle Wallop is solely for AH-64E no support or deep maintenance for the Chinook, there. They do not have the capability or capacity,
The Chinook heavy maintenance done with Standard Aero (formerly Vector Aerospace and before that DARA and in thee good old days RNAY Fleetlands)
cheers
Re: AAC Airfields
Are you sure about that? There are numerous job sites, and even Boeing's own website, advertising for Chinook maintenance vacancies at Middle Wallop. I also personally know at least two people, that at least up until the end of last year, were working on Chinooks at WallopRavendriver2008 wrote: ↑Fri May 30, 2025 3:43 pmBoeing's presence at Middle Wallop is solely for AH-64E no support or deep maintenance for the Chinook, there.
