It’s always been well known fact that this year the F-35 will not be putting on a demo because of the amount of aircraft and personnel deployed

Got that....but they've had 12 months notice of the show and the deployment. Someone had better tell any potential aggressor that we can't play today as we're not ready.

That and the fact we have a 10 minute " Interlude"

Surely the aircraft being on a combat deployment and not an airshow is the definition of being “ready”

I suspect you might find the Lightning Force is more ready for dealing with deployments and also potential aggressors (whoever) that maybe than doing a display. But feel free to write to the Lightning Force Commander and tell them.

This is the Royal Air Force one and only official airshow. If they can fly in I don't think it's asking to much that they do a couple of flybys. Don't have a go at me it's my opinion, and I'm not there. Pulling out some museum pieces does not an Air show make.

I agree surely they could do more and I am not there either and when other countries send full display aircraft to Cosford and RIAT.

It is and remains an embarrassment of a show - really is this the best the RAF' can do?
What other national air arm in Europe puts on a worse show? I'm hard pressed to think of any?
And while we (Brits) flock (with good reason) to other European shows - It's hard to imagine anyone flying to Cosford show from abroad.
And if they did - they would not be that stupid twice!

Andyph , what else are you expecting? We are lucky we get any shows at all!
Okay, it isn’t the razzmatazz of RIAT, or the aircraft attendance of other shows, but this is a show based around future recruitment! Us old git spotters and photographers should be happy that it hasn’t all gone via Teams or some other virtual way of doing things!
I thought the Typhoon was excellent, always great to see overseas visitors and the Reds were great as always.
