Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 General Discussion Thread
Fingers crossed for a big surprise then!
Lets hope its more than just chance that the one of the Tornados they are sending over is from TLG33 - which is the same as their new display Jet!

JF-17 Pakistan for RIAT on the update!
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 General Discussion Thread
Take off Thursday update:
We’re extremely excited to confirm that the Pakistan Air Force will be bringing their JF-17 Thunder to RIAT for the first time! There will be a pair of them on static display alongside a C-130E Hercules, which we’re sure will be a highlight for many.
Also, we can announce several flypasts courtesy of both the Royal Air Force and United States Air Force:
Friday: B-1B Lancer, E-7A Wedgetail, F-35B Lightning II and RC-135W Rivet Joint
Saturday: B-1B Lancer and P-8A Poseidon
Sunday: C-17 Globemaster III and P-8A Poseidon.
Plus, the final few additions to the static display with a F-15E Strike Eagle and Airbus A400M, as well as aircraft from Airtask as part of our ‘Eyes in the Skies’ theme with their Cessna F406 Vigilant and Dash-8
Bring on RIAT25!

Just wondering if the B1 in the flying programme will be an additional one to the already announced one? Or will it be a second one operating from Fairford?
Cheers Sam

Can only do sunday, possibly Monday. So touch of sore arse syndrome after this update. Even more so when you read the full update...
Knew the Thunders were static anyway, so

Difficult to tell from the way its worded, possibly.
Also the lack of RAF heavies is noticeable. Though at least they can manage a C-17 flypast on Sunday.
When was the last time WT001 flew!?

Any realistic hope of raptors gone then? I mean wasn’t the B-2 a surprise in 2017 so I’m gonna be delusional and stay hopeful.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 General Discussion Thread
Interesting reference to the B-1 flying as part of a Bomber Task Force mission, so possibly more than 2 coming over and staying longer than the RIAT weekend? Or maybe the USAF are justifying the trip as a BTF deployment for budget reasons? I can't see them putting on much of a flying display but a banana pass with wings swept would be nice!
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 General Discussion Thread
You have completely missed the IL78 Tanker from Pakistan, another star visitor, hopefully this can be pulled over to one of the ends of the static line !!MarcR312 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 10, 2025 11:03 amTake off Thursday update:
