How long will they be staying for? I plan to travel there next week Friday on my way up to Fairford.

Reported in the Heads Up section which you can access once you have 10 posts on the forum, but until then the following have visited Marham so far this week:

8th:
MM7317/4-43 F-2000A IAM0409 arrived
F-034 F-35A NAF313A arrived & departed
F-027 F-35A NAF313B arrived & departed
MM62196/46-42 C-130J-30 IAM4675 arrived & departed

9th:
MM55131/51-31 TF-2000A IAM0101A arrived

The Italians are staying for several weeks operating out of HAS 47 & 53

Ah right makes sense, how come the F35s came and then went again?

I know no one can answer for sure but what are the chances of Italian activity Monday? I’m free to go somewhere before Riat and I’m torn between lakenheath for raptors or marham for typhoons, I’ve already seen raptors so I’m inclined to go to marham but I don’t want to turn up if nothings happening. Any help much appreciated!

Personally I would start at Lakenheath then if you hear the Italians are up at Marham you should be able to get over in time for their return. No one will know whether they’re flying Monday and if they did I doubt they’d say on a public forum

So you don’t think marham would get like too busy to get parked if I didn’t get there early?

A chance we all have to take but you are more likely not to park (sensibly and legally) at Lakenheath if you go there later. Your choice - enjoy.

Just do it old school, turn up around station opening time and see what happens, you should get some local flying assuming you still need to see or image RAF F-35B

I don't think nashwa is old school - more likely just left school.

I don’t know if that’s an insult or not but it isn’t exactly false either, but hey we all start somewhere :P

Sorry not meant as an insult at all - probably should have said "nearer". Not sure if "old school" is widely understood by younger generations these days. The dark ages pre internet, no mobile 'phones or digital cameras. Having to wait for the films to processed and returned and the next aviation magazine of choice to see what you had missed (or seen but not read off - how did we manage?

Me too Gareth but I would still like to go back in time with today's "tech" to fill a lot of gaps - now where did I leave my TARDIS?
