Post by SteveS » Sat Mar 05, 2011 4:23 pm

Photography Competition Rules - Please Read Very Carefully.

1. Only one entry per user, unless posting on behalf of another person who is unable to do so themselves (children for example). If this is the case, please state so on your entry.
2. The photograph can have been taken at any time.
3. The photo for this month only, must be of an aircraft formerly in RAF service, but no longer being used.
4. The competition will remain open until 23.59 on the 1st April 2011.
5. The voting will be carried out by the FC staff. Mod's will not be exempt from the competition, but cannot vote for their own entry
6. The voting decision is final.
7. All images must be posted in line with the usual FC posting rules
8. Please do not comment on photos other than your own.
9. The rules may be subject to change, and these will be posted on this thread.

Good luck everyone!

How can the Spitfire and Lancaster be classed as Ex-RAF types when examples of them are still in service with the RAF?

Well I don't think many people would count them as being in the current RAF inventory, even though technically they are. I don't think we could really have an ex-RAF types competition excluding Spits and Lancs, as we'd then have to discount Hurricanes, Chipmunks, Dakotas, Hunters, Harvards, etc.

You wouldn't have to discount Hunters or Harvards, they are in service with the Fleet Air Arm and QinetiQ respectively and not the RAF...
