Aviation Patches

Post by GOOSE » Sat Dec 19, 2009 4:36 pm

The collection of aviation patches used to be a big thing amongst Aviation enthusiasts.

On one of our incarnations of FC there was a thread showing people's patch collections.

Anyone got any to share? :pop:

I haven't bought any patches for a very long time (apart from the Indians at Waddington one) so most of these come from the late 80's early 90's.

Following on from John's theme here are mine:

And the rest from various places/countries etc etc.

ps Like John I am looking to expand the Lightning ones so get in touch if you have any :-)

Well here's my collection..all from Brize Norton..funnily enough.

I was given the 101 patch by a VC10 captain,, the one from 99 was given to me by a Flight Seargent..and well, the one from 216 I actually bought .!

I've no probs with this site myself, however here's some alternatives;
http://www.flightlineinsignia.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (I think this new site is still being developped)
http://www.planecrazyent.com/index.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (mostly US Navy/Marines)
http://www.usafpatches.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (lots of links to this site)
http://www.av8rstuff.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (USMC)

Love those Fighter Interceptor Squadron ones. They are very nice!

Can only really remember the 57th FIS "IS" at Iceland. Would love to be old enough to remember Delta's :thumb:

You and me both mate! The only times I ever saw the 57th was at the various IAT's (and also at UH in 91) :thumb:
The only Deuces I've seen are in museums :(

One more for the road ;)
