I`m still trying to source 1/72 VF-111 `Sundowners` decals for an F-8 Crusader but it`s not looking good.

Might have to go to `plan B`??

Sitting in the corner and sulking.....!

`Plan C` however, will probably be a VF-111 Sundowners F-14. :)

A sundowner isn`t a sundowner without its little rays of sunshine...

I` think I`ll go for the low vis as I have a high vis diecast version. Still hoping to get the Crusader sorted though.

I`ve been advised that this years Telford may be able to supply what decals I need. I can`t make it, but if anyone from FC is going, they could have a look for me and make me a very happy man.. ;)

I'm having a look on Google for pics of a Crusader with the 'sunshine' and i'm coming up blank. Did they exist in that form? The design of the sunburst is fairly simple and shouldn't be that hard to hand paint with some tape, if that's the only decal you're short of.

*Edit* I've just come across some real world images on this site.

If I was in your position i'd go for a mix of the kit decals and hand paint the rudder.
