F111 Whereabouts

Post by PhilW » Sun Oct 11, 2009 12:12 pm

Hi,
All these F111 pics from Heyford certainly have brought back memories - fantastic.

I once had a tour of the base and got to climb all over AF680 - 20th TFW.

I was wondering if anybody new what happened to her ?
Is it in a museum somewhere, or worse case destroyed/boneyard.

I'd be interested to know what happened to her.

Cheers,
Phil

If the serial was 68-0020 then it's on display at Hill AFB,Utah. :thumb:

A quick google-search found this :-

Great One Flaps, that really is good news.

The missing link was the serial, so thanks for that mate.

Just been in the loft for the last 2 hours rummaging for photo's.
Found a few (poor quality), but the "lightning flash" red, yellow, blue, white certainly ties up.
Time to do some scanning.
Cheers,
Phil
