Post by Hunter49 » Sun May 20, 2012 8:27 am

Hi, does anyone have any information on the flypast over the Lichfield Arboretum today, which includes the Vulcan ?

Thanks,

Rob.

Just a reminder that VttS have requested that the general public DO NOT attend the flypast at the Arboretum.

Instead they suggest attending the flypast at RAF Cosford at around 12.25 or the take-off at Doncaster around 11.30.

My other half and myself popped up to Alrewas to see the Vulcan, didn't expect the helo's.

For completeness from his photos the Chinook was HC.3 ZH897, Lynx HAS.3S ZD249/631 702 Sqn and Scout AH.1 XT626/Q.

We too popped up to see her & the hello's, great sight on a dull day.

One thing that struck me on the way home, how very sad it is, that there isn't a Harrier left flying today to even represent their contribution in the Falklands war.

Here's a snap of her today taken by my brother in law.

Saw the vulcan on the outskirts of Newark whilst fishing on sunday, saw it going out to do the flypast and it came back over on its way back to doncaster. Just a quick question, did the vulcan over fly the Newark air museum? Just it seemed to dive down over that way and then pull up and put the power on it was really loud even though it was quite a way in the distance
