large twin prop. ATP? Andover?or open skies AN30??!!
Just seen what looked like one of the above heading towards CU.
Sounded like it did a curcit before departing??
Hard to tell if it was high or low wing.but it did look very much like an ATP??
Defiantly something out of the norm!!
Anyone an idea what it might have Been?
I spotted it from port navas!! So did'nt get to long to eye ball it!

Hi,
Thanks, must have gone out on the 26th. One report suggested stayed a hour, so looks that might been the case.

Could it be the AN 30 up and about doing the open skies rounds?
Re: large twin prop. ATP? Andover?
Now that is a very good point! The profile of it looked more like an AN30 than it did an Andover..voodoo wrote:Could it be the AN 30 up and about doing the open skies rounds?
Tail was swepped like an AN30. but similar to an ATP Which is what made me think that is what it was!
Hoping it was the open skies AN!!

It was 3 minutes late west of Fairford heading due west towards Kemble at 1157 local (between Wp 22 and 23 above). A distinctive noise at or below the cloud base and only partially visible. You need to change the lat and longs from degrees, minutes and seconds into degrees decimal to get the locations on google map (51 45 becomes 51.75 for example. Timings on the waypoint NOTAMs are Zulu

Well there you go.. Think that answers that one.
If you look at the path it took. Port navas/ the helford river is right under its track:thumb:
And thats were I spotted it.
So next question is.. Which one was it?
EDIT: found it..it's was black 01.. Same one that OTT culdrose some years back. And I was lucky enough to catch it then aswell!

You jammy so and so Pete.
I saw this in the 'Heads up' section last night and noted that it was routing directly over this way so I thought somebody might catch it. I heard it trundle down, but unfortunalely the cloud was solid over Plymouth at the time.
Well done , good spot
