That's a oh fudge......Although i did say what was thought to be happening some weeks ago......

Lets just hope that there is not any trouble with visitors or it could make things bad for air days in the future.

I wonder if this will be published on the Royal Navy website?

Total bunch of arse holes in my opinion. No one has ever caused any harm in that field and never will. Not for the past 30+ years. In my opinion, if i don't know what has turned up and pay money to go in and find half of the stuff not there!
Remember a few years ago? Good line up, only for half or so not actually turning up and the static was absolutely dire compared to what was supposed to be there. People paid money to go in (including myself) for absolutely naff all to see static or flying.

I was going to go to do the arrivals outside and go inside for the Saturday show but they can shove it up their arses.

Does anyone know what time they open the field to wait for entry into the Photocall?

Previous years, I've not been able to get there until lunchtime, by which time there have already been a fair number of cars in the field waiting for the gate to open. This year I can get there early, in time for the morning's arrivals, but with the road closures and clearways, if the field isn't open, then there'll be no point arriving before mid-day again.

Maybe they have caught on to the fact that so many people outside were watching it, they were losing money on the base, as Rich said, ive paid to go in before and it hasnt been worth the money, and never been any trouble using the field over the years.

Have no issue with people watching from outside but the fewer people that attend surely means more likelihood of the event not happening due to funding issues
My ticket was only £17 and if I only saw the hind, vulcan f16 and the demo I would still be happy.
If the airday lasts 5 hours then I reckon I will get more than my moneys worth.
Should point out I am travelling from northern ireland to see this and legends with legends being twice the price of yeovilton
Went to RIAT last year and loved it so trying a couple of different ones this year

I suspect that the reason for the closure of the bridleway is more likely to be down to the new farmer, who took over a couple of years ago, objecting to people wandering across his fields. There was never any problem when the previous farmer was in residence.

The majority on the outside in my experience are photographers and are not outside to save paying but there to be on the right side of the light.

Also says 'Currently at the end of a major engineering programme, if the Historic Flight’s Sea Fury FB.11 is ready in time, it will link up with the Flight’s Sea Fury T.20, the Skyraider and the Seafire to create a powerful naval quartet.' Will be intriguing if they can pull that off...

I queue up in the morning, pay for my ticket, wander around the static, grab a bacon roll and then head outside to get the better light for the flying display.

If I can't do that, then it's highly likely I won't be attending. Scratch another show from the ever diminishing list!

You might find there are quite a few people do the same, and won't be attending this year for the very same reason.

Can't you people just enjoy what looks like being a great flying display rather carping on about the 'light' and huffing off 'cos they won't let you stand out side!! to be honest i am not sure you will be missed! :P
