Just thank your lucky stars that the A330 Voyager programme is running late, if it wasn't for that then there'd be no VC-10 at RIAT this year.

A few more decent updates like this is what we need, then it'll be a good show.

Todays update 09/05/2013
We revealed late last Friday that Red Bull would be sending us two flying participants in July. A lot of positive feedback was received thanks to the addition of their P-38L Lightning and F4U-4 Corsair.

In addition to the huge support from military organisations around the world, we are fortunate to receive many interesting aircraft from civilian owners, including this weeks announcements of a static Alenia C-27J Spartan, and a static Beech G18S which has appeared in Hollywood movies.

The RAF has confirmed that it will fly a special commemorative flypast of a Battle of Britain Memorial Lancaster and a Tornado GR4 to mark the 70th anniversary of the Dambusters Raid.

We are still awaiting official confirmation from the French Air Force concerning the aircraft it is proposing to send to this summer's Air Tattoo. We will let you know when we receive any information.

We are aware of information online suggestion the Hungarian Air Force is planning to send its solo Gripen display to the Air Tattoo this summer. We are currently seeking official confirmation. Once we receive it we shall let you know,

The RAF has confirmed that a TriStar and a C-17 Globemaster III will perform a flypast as part of the Air Tattoo flying display this summer. A second RAF C-17 has been confirmed for the static park.

We have received news from the RNLAF that, regrettably the Chinook scheduled to be parked on static display has had to cancel. No reason has been given.

Each year it is our ambition to ensure, where ever possible, that the flying display for both public days is the same. However, situations do arise, very occasionally, when display acts tell us they can only perform on one day because of other commitments.

Similar situations may arise when planning some of the Air Tattoo's trademark unique flypasts when operational constraints might only enable us to organise a once-only set piece.

Whilst we recognise that some visitors may be disappointed it is our view that one day is better than no days. The Air Tattoo is grateful to all participants for taking part in the Air Tattoo and, on the rare occasions they can only perform a single display, it is our view that visitors would prefer we agreed to one display/flypast rather than none.

In planning July's airshow, we are aware that there may be one or two potential 'acts' in the flying display that can each only perform on one day. In this situation, we shall be working to ensure, as best we can, that they are evenly spread across the two days.

Nice update, looking forward to seeing the Polish Mig again :thumb:

The RAF typhoon squadron meet would be damn cool :thumb: Mark one up in 1435 flight livery to complete the set I say  would be great if they could have some different weapons fits.

I thought one of them was specially marked? Unless you're asking about a scheme that 100% covers the aircraft, a-la Dutch F-16?

I'm sorry to appear argumentative, but a special painting of four famous WW2 Polish fighter pilots classes as a 'special' paint scheme in my books. It's not what is on every other Mig in the Polish airforce thus making it 'special paint scheme'
