Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2013
Shock. Horror.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2013
Not sure if this is new news or I have just missed it, but the Netherlands CH-47 has cancelled according to the RIAT website.
Cheers

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2013
Would be nice if the Italian KC-767 and C-27J could do a demo of an air to air rueful?
if not i am still happy with that addition.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2013

Whilst we have already announced the participation of a German Navy P-3C Orion at this summer's Air Tattoo we are currently trying to find out if it will be the one painted in 100th Anniversary Marinefleiger markings. We will let you know.
Today (June 20) is what our Air Ops department call The Longest Day, when they sit down with all interested parties eg RIAT Air Traffic and the RIAT Flying Display Director to plot the many aircraft arrivals and validations, where appropriate, for all the aircraft taking part in RIAT 2013.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2013
By my fag packet calculations I make that 129 aircraft in total at the moment with presumably several more from the RAF and five countries with negotiations still ongoing.....

Where else in the world can you see over 100 aircraft at a Air show ? Great update today

Flying prevails whenever a man and his airplane are put to a test of maximum performance.

My thoughts exactly. Next people will be complaining that there wasn't enough sun. Or too much sun. Or not enough ice cream and/or burgers.bclark86 wrote:There's no pleasing some people
Oh wait, that happens after the show, doesn't it!
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2013
The word deluded springs to mind, you would think the fact that they are (a) still talking to South Korea, Morocco, Iraq, Canada and Czech Republic would be cause for optimism and (b) it looks a fairly tasty line up anyway would keep people happy, ho humSkywatcher wrote:Disappointed with that up date really was hoping for some more fast jet action, how about a Saudi f15ram that would be ace happy days if they announce that next week

Thats good to hear.paulk wrote:It was certainly impressive at Paris on Monday!Dunk wrote:A400 flying is good to see - happy days.
i think that Weds arrivals are going to be somewhat quiet, and would not be surprised to see Wednesday disappear altogther next year with first arrivals being on Thursday.
i do not think there is enough aircraft anymore to warrant it. And that isnt down to the lack of effort from the Aircraft Ops team at DBH, simply a sign of the times.
