Just a couple of notes;
Caught this passing through the overhead around about 12pm:

Also noted a 100sqn marked Hawk, either CO, CD or CQ, i assume now with 736NAS.

Sweet.Met man 1 been playing around in the south west approach most of the day. :)
Heard it asking to pass though culdrose's over head.but looks like it was at a decent high for a snap.
Also worth a note 736 sqn (FRADU) have a new inmate. XX236 ex 208sqn machine.a new one for me :thumb: after all these year of spotting and number crunching,I still manage to make the odd hawk here and there :pop:

Well done squire!

I reckon Air Day will a good opportunity to catch-up with all the changes with the inmates. The Hawk, Merlin 1and Merlin 11, Bagger and SK V fleets have all changed around quite a bit in recent weeks.

For example, how many Merlin 2 are on camp? I counted 6 one day, but now there could be more, could be less.

XX236 has been exchanged for XX303 I believe. I believe it has not been detached to Yeovilton yet... sods law it will be moved there when Air Day is on :)

I saw this 146 pass low over Kilkhampton twice on Friday, identified the type but not whose it was thanks for clearing that up.It made an intersting type for a change.

Hi Malf,
Yes, very many thanks mate - we are all fine here, thank you for asking. I have not had too many posts to put on here (this section) lately but I am inclined to
write some posts on the Warbirds section. Strangely enough today we drove past the Culdrose main gate - it's so good to see the Seahawk Gate Guard looking in such pristine condition, as is the base itself with its freshly mown grass! As you probably know, my wife is not a big aircraft fan, unlike myself and she kept on telling me to keep my eyes on the road and not on the various a/c's and helos flying about!! Whilst going past there was a Merlin on approach and also one of the new Avengers coming in to land. Also there was a lovely shiny medium blue helo coming in to land. I was in my element as you could probably imagine!! Thank you again --Paul :thumb:

Hello Paul, the 'blue helicopter' you mention was a Dauphin II, referred to in this post
viewtopic.php?f=34&t=82511
The serial was, again, ZJ164

Hi Malf,
Many thanks for that - it was a really nice helicopter, I've looked at the link that you gave and that would definitely explain it!! --Paul :thumb:
