Abingdon Show 2010

Post by pako-2008 » Mon May 03, 2010 12:36 am

After three weeks of nice weather, the day we all look forward to in the form of the start to our airshow season, is hounded by cold winds and dull conditions. To add to that I was probably the only person wearing shorts, so I'm still warming up as I type.
First time at the show and despite the above I really enjoyed the day. As people have already stated the Tutor surprisingly exceeded expectations, the F16 was as good as ever, and for me I really enjoyed the vampires display. So on with my efforts:
Firstly, the unfortunately small static line-up.

The flying element, which to my despair doesn't include the C-17. As it appeared catching most by surprise, I reached for the camera quickly and my battery died, and by the time I had switched it had gone

Well I have got to hand it to the organisers after all the goings on leading up to the show, a massive thanks and I will definitely return next year.

Hope you enjoy these

Thanks for the comments chaps.
I think wearing shorts wasn't one of my greatest ideas, but I was determined to stick it out and after a while once the display started the cold feeling blanked out a little. Next up is Duxford, so a little look at the weather before this time I think.
