What's the story with 'pv' ?

Maybe a bit outside your area , but I'm 'nL' , located at St Stephen ( 1/2 way between St Austell and Newquay).
I normally run 24/7 but tend to switch off at nights over the weekends if the weather's poor.

What's the story with 'pv' ?

Can't see pv on map, is it mixed with others or missing ? Where should it be and who is it?

Dunno - was showing half way between Dover and Calais, in the middle of the oggin. So it's either a cross channel ferry fitted with PP, or someone has entered their position incorrectly.

The RPi option on it's own won't support MLAT - yet. Currently the only way MLAT is supported is if you have a PC running PP.

The RPi can upload aircraft with full position reporting, so it can/does help the civvy dot spotters. But it doesn't add much for us Mil-only buffs.

Thanks for reporting this to me, I've just checked it out with the Yahoo group and it's correct. Will have to look at another solution then

Kyle, Don't forget that you can now also MLAT using windows and a dongle too.

Problem is, I can't feed 24/7 on my current PC. That's why I was looking into using a RPi.

It's me on the PP group too. We are starting work on an RPi only PP-MLAT system, but it will be several weeks before anything can be released.

Excuse my ignorance but can planeploter be downloaded onto a laptop or do you require an Airnav/Sbs box??
