Thanks for the concern Bluetail, but the same could be said of any photo thread, on any aviation forum. If this thread allows those who often don't get the chance to post on here that opportunity - great, job done!

Taken over Durham Tees Valley in March. I saw the two fighters approach the tanker from the opposite direction and then realised what was happening. Consequently I was slow gettiong the camera out.

what are those two jet aircraft with the other aircraft?either eagles with kc-135 or tonkas with e-3?but cant see dish?
May the skies be clear and blue and the wind fair with a guiding star to steer by.

They look like F15's to me with a KC135R :thumb:

In the first 2 shots one of the F 15s is hooked upto the tanker but zooming in means even more loss of image.
