How accurate are these eta's?
I live about an hour away, and will take a drive down to see it arrive.
Problem is, it's only 90 minutes before dark, and if it's going to be too dark, I will make the trip down another evening.
If it's going to arrive a couple of hours late, it will be a wasted jourtney.

If you only live an hour away why don't you just chance it and go, If it arrives late then you can go another evening.

The arrival time is on QHM Portsmouth's web page? It's never a wasted journey, get down to Stokes Bay as it's highly unlikely to be late. If you're lucky there might be a couple of Seahawks flying about doing security patrols as happened on a previous carrier visit. They flew along the beach enabling me to get my only ever photographs of Seahawks flying!!! A word of warning though, leave in plenty of time, the weather is forecast to be nice and sunny and the road works on the A32 in Gosport are a real pain when it's busy which Sunday is looking to be. I'd get to Stokes Bay for around 1430 latest as you will most probably have to drive around to find a parking space. If you walk to Kilkicker Point (as you look at the Isle of Wight, it's about half to three quarters of a mile to your left along the beach) the carrier should be visible from around 1530/1545. I'm going to miss the arrival so have a cracking day on my behalf!!!

I've posted info about boat trips in the Military Marine Monitoring Section.

Hi,just checked my photo's and EA-18G 504 is confirmed as 168274 so there may have been a switch round,the E2-D was a typo. :'(
