A dream come true, my visit to Red Flag 15-2

Post by nick197 » Thu May 14, 2015 5:24 pm

Hello everyone, Well back in March my Uncles and I had a trip to the west coast of America and our first place to visit was Nellis AFB which was hosting Red Flag 15-2. The other places we visited were:
Rainbow canyon

Palm Springs air museum

and the NAF El Centro airshow
viewtopic.php?f=19&t=112108&hilit=el+centro

We spent 2 days outside Nellis mainly at the Speedway, We were treated to two days of pretty much non stop action with not only quantity but quality as well. Highlights were B1s at night, Prowlers, Aggressor Eagles, F-35s and the UAE Mirage 2000s. We stayed very close to the base in a place called the Aviation Inn, It was so close that 05:30 on the second day we were treated to the best alarm clock in the world, Raptors blasting out of Nellis  . It was an awesome trip with great company, all being well we're are planning on going back early next year  . Anyway here's a few shots from the trip

Some great pictures there from Nellis Nick. The Speedway or Cheyenne Ave, both great places to stand during a Flag and love your F-15 and A-10 shots, but they are all great! Thanks for sharing!

They are superb Nick, all very nice but I particularly like the two Prowlers together and the close up A.10 shots. I was there on 10th March and just couldn't get them that close up where we were; mind you we did keep switching position due to them changing runways. It is a great place isn't it?.

Thanks very much for all your kind comments :thumb: , I know what you're saying Jem60 but the lure of wall to wall fast jets and the option to shoot low level is too hard to ignore  :thumb: .
