Was doing some digging and not much info kicking about regarding comms from 2007, although that was several incarnations of FC ago  The call signs I noted for the exercise were

Fighters
Hatchet
Scampi

IL78
Nestegg

There will be an arrivals thread set up in Heads Up like for the B-52 etc. Also when the exercise starts I would guess a daily thread will be posted like what happened for the BALTOPs / Sabre Strike exercise

If RIAT manage to get a couple of Su-34 for the the show at Fairford, I would not be surprised if they, indeed all four of them do not got straight to Fairford on Thursday the 16th. Plenty of time to catch the Su-34 at CBY in the following two weeks.

I doubt any one will see Su 34s - we're expecting Su 30 MKI's ;)

They will go direct to Coningsby, not to RIAT.

I see on the RIAT page here.

http://www.airtattoo.com/airshow/visiti ... st-updates

That states they have declined the opportunity to appear. Meanwhile I suppose you could ask Uncle Vlad awfully nicely if he would send a pair of Su-34s.

I doubt you will get an answer however :ninja:

Hi Tim, seem to remember the last time the Indians were at Waddington their appearance at Fairford show was not confirmed until the last minute.

Think I read the plan was a night stop at Athens, Greece, on the 15th July. So question is can anybody monitor Athens ATC, then add a flight time, say five hours ?

I'll probably potter down from Leeds after they've been here a bit and things have quietened down (as I did with the Saudis). I can get off work at a days notice so can hopefully pick the weather also.

It's likely the second week will be just as crowdy as the first - everyone will have the same idea, returning to Conny after RIAT
