Marham activity

Post by liamkillington » Mon Jun 28, 2010 11:15 am

Hi guys, thinking of making the trip over to marham again on Wednesday, does anyone have any idea what activity is like at the moment? Is it busy?

Many thanks,

Liam

Hi there

9 sqdn are away in Germany on exercise, back on 1st July

31 Sqdn are home

2 Sqdn are probably on leave now until they take over from 2 Sqdn out east in couple of weeks

Hope that helps

Cheers

So are 13 or 9 squadron away or both? If both there probably isn't a great deal of point making the trip.
Any info would be great! Cheers!

2 Sqdn are due back from theatre around 12-15th July, 13 Sqdn are taking over from them which mean they normally get 1-2 weeks leave before they take over from 2 Sqdn.

9 Sqdn are at Lechfeld in Germany until 2st July, so they should arrive home 2nd July.

So if you are visiting this week i guess you will only see 31 Sqdn fly and possibly some 13 Sqdn.

Hope that helps
Gareth

I was at Marham last Wednesday (7th July) from 1130-1pm, very quiet just 3 Tornados, a Dominie visiting, and some based light aircraft carrying out circuits. Does anyone know if there were 2 Tornado F3s parked northside last Wed?? they were at a strange angle so couldnt really tell.

Thanks
Gareth
