Summer Deployments

Post by StormsInAfrica » Thu Apr 28, 2016 7:51 am

It appears from both Facebook and Twitter that someone has leaked Town Council minutes confirming that a deployment will take place this year late June. This to be followed by a deployment in July of B-1B's. The posts have now been removed but it's worth a heads up as there was much wailing and nashing of teeth!

I appreciate that this could just be the usual BS around this sort of caper, but worth posting.

P.S. Are you sure someone didn't just FOI the minutes and post them? Not sure that's a leak!

Hi Guy's, any info re: possible movement keeps us going.

'On a separate note'
If you use a YUPITERU MVT-7100, please 'Take Note'. The internal plastic Battery release thing split on mine this morning so, I decided to remove the 'Back Half' and repair it. I removed the 4 retaining screws and very 'Gently' pulled the Back cover of. The Battery release plastic thing, Duck tape did the job :) 'HOW EVER' WARNING, there are Two internal static pin connectors and  ALL stored info was LOSTED :@ .
It's taken All afternoon to restore the scanner receiver. moral is 'write it down' and luckily I did ;)

Exercise Ample Strike 2016 is supposed to see B-1 participation. Think this will be the late summer (end August to mid September) B-1 deployment to Fairford.

Yes, there is still stuff due next month for Sabre Strike and/or BALTOPS! There will also be a B-1 deployment in August/September.

Historically around the 8th of June for Spirit arrivals. We should see some preparations next week or the week after I would imagine.

Have the Town Council said anything other than what was contained in the minutes? If so can you post/ link?

Our council are a bunch of idiots and could have got it wrong (it wouldn't be the first time ) don't believe anything untill you see it.
