Not really, there is a big step from agreeing to come over, to having everything signed off on.

DBH only confirm displays when every bit of paperwork, insurance etc is in place where as the fleet arm can usually report the listing when an agreement is reached to display at a show.

There is an awful amount of work to be done between agreement to display and confirmation.

Apart from the times in the past when the same sort of thing has happened. They have just added a sentence saying something like we are aware of reports xxxxx has an article about xxxxx attending. Talks are ongoing. I think that would have been enough for most

I think everyone takes this far too seriously.....when they are ready they will announce it, one way or the other. They aren't beholden to any of us or under any obligation to tell us anything at all. Just exercise a bit of patience and be thankful that they bother to tell us anything at all! :thumb:

Pretty sure a while back RIAT said that hopefully plans would come into fruition hopefully in time for RIAT this could have been regarding Ukraine ? This was on UKAR I think about a week or two ago when the Air ops tweet sent everyone into meltdown.

I kinda miss the days when, aside from the odd headline act or stalwart, you didn't have a clue what was coming til you got there.

Has it actually been stated that they are in discussion for the Ukrainians coming over for RIAT itself?....Are they not organising another show this year that could really do with a cracking crowd-puller?..

Either way its looking like a pretty impressive line-up in todays aeronautical climate.

Suggest you go back to page 38 and read the translated version of the Ukrainian press article :thumb:

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but you could not read this section? My Dad is meeting me at P&V on Thursday and has not a single idea of what he will be seeing arrive. It's out of choice btw :)

No worries, and if they go to Scampton that will probably be the decider that makes me do the show! :D

Every year I say I'm going to have a RIAT blackout and not look at the participation, usually lasts until the first update

The following, and hopefully it will stay in English though Google will translate if necessary, is from a Ukrainian source. They definitely seem to think they are coming to Fairford.

ALTRV posted. The team have also re-positioned to Burlington, Ontario.

The "Heads Up - Non UK" ("BLUE71" thread) and the NOTAM sections also give this information.

From the ALTRV it can be deduced that arrival would be 18.00-18.15BST or thereabouts, as it takes about 2¼-2½ hours from 30W.

If they do rock up tomorrow, it won't be any earlier than the F-35s last year. Either end of the week before if memory serves me right (which it may not!). Either way they were there a week early.
