Re: Notam 31st August
From Czech website thread, B-1's due from 11.00L.
So, showing due 11.00 there, but they are plus 1 hour BST. So that would be 10.00 here (BST).
Fairford departure 8.30 ish allowing 1.5 hours transit and more or less direct? Pure guess!

Looking from Dunfield, Activity around both B1's and the B52.
Re: Notam 31st August
QUID 09 / U2 should be back at Fairford around 16:30 local and the B1's around 15:30 local

Re: Notam 31st August
Anyone know why the U-2 is using a "Quid" callsign which is normally assigned to Mildenhall-based tankers? Just curious really!

Tanking mission?

Re: Notam 31st August
Have B1's departed, someone locally said very loud jets near Fairford spooked sheep in a field.

Errrm no...Tanking mission?

Re: Notam 31st August
QUID was originally a callsign used by 9th SRW KC-135Qs when deployed in support of SR-71 missions, which then became a permanent detachment, and eventually the 100th ARW.sschofield wrote:Anyone know why the U-2 is using a "Quid" callsign which is normally assigned to Mildenhall-based tankers? In theory, both 100ARW and 9RW have 'dibs' on the callsign!
