That video looks very iffy indeed. That could easily have ended very badly. Perhaps some private conversations between countries needs to happen to avoid a serious accident. Unlikely to do much good perhaps, given the recent aggressive behaviour of Russia, but has to be worth a go.
I certainly can't see any of our pilots behaving like that around their aircraft and this should be made clear to Russia.
Worrying

Agreements are in place between the US and the Russian Federation. They go back to Soviet days in the 1970s but were also amended and re-established in the late 1990s.

Sadly it is going to take a collision or an air emergency to reign this type of bravado in.

Nothing. It's not their airspace. They have the right to monitor, as we do with their flights through/close to the UK FIR, but not intervene.

Well we and they can intervene if needed to do so. I do belive thats what live weapons are for.

I'm not sure of your point there? Of course QRA aircraft carry live weapons, that doesn't mean they have the right to open fire on aircraft flying legally in international airspace.

The Russians clearly violated the engagement rules here, and they do what suits them as usual!!

I'm quite shocked at your assertions! Next thing, you'll be saying that anybody spouting alternative views about President Pukin's way of Government gets a free shot of Novochok? :ninja:
