If the Saudis are due into Waddington on Monday, I can't see any reason why they would have departed King Khalid yet. Tomorrow at the earliest, or more likely Sunday.
Regards
Mark
Plenty of reasons, why.

1/ They want to turn up at Waddington with 6 serviceable a/c and not having to leave broken a/c behind, 3 days gives plenty of time to sort out any issues.
2/ If it’s the Hellenic AF that may be hosting them, then they don’t tend to fly Friday or the weekend, so full facilities may not be available over these days.
3/ They may have used the opportunity to fly local DACT missions with the HAF, they enjoy very close relations.
4/ Because they wanted to.

Unfortunately my contact isn’t back on Crete until mid March, so he can’t confirm either way.

I can agree with all your points, but wouldn't it be logical to see a couple (out of the 15?) Hercules flights into Souda during the last two days? AFAIK nothing landed, at least not visile on the usual tracking sites.

Agree, been looking for them but nothing showing as yet. However I’ve noticed over the years that although RSF C-130 flights generally show going into Iraklion and Athens, they don’t tend to show for Souda. This is especially the case if again they are going through the HAF side of things.

Pieter,
Correct, no flight plans have been in either.

Scramble has the Turks and French as 20th :ninja:
My mistake, should be Wednesday the 19th as per earlier post in this thread.

When you posted it did have the 20th, but day was showing as Wednesday, I emailed the SIS moderator and he has corrected it to the 19th :thumb:

Strange as it's showing the day as (We) Wednesday but has the date as 20th
After an email to Scramble they've now changed it to the 19th

A reminder to please be road savvy while you're getting your photos from the A15 end. Us truckers don't want you flattened in the pursuit of 'that' one shot.

Thanks for the responses regarding the Saudi arrivals, unfortunately though, as per the heads up movements, the tankers are expected into Marseille. Oh well!

On another note, it may be a slightly longer shot but if anything happens to photograph the data blocks on the F-15s, I'd appreciate please knowing which USAF serial ties up to which Saudi serial. I have a thread in the Lakenheath sub forum which I'm hoping to be able to update. Thank you again in advance!

Teds doing a live stream - starting at 0930, but he'll have missed the Reds at that point so might start early. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W55rusIlQXY

Appreciate that, but also seen plenty of vehicles "wander" too.
MISSING - x1 Air Force.
If found please return to the UK.
