While the engineering challenges are certainly large with the Super Connie, I'm not sure airframe hours and cycles are the issue. In countries which permit Pleasure flights on the Constellation, it makes regular flights during an event with paying passengers which helps offset the costs of transit flights to and from their home.
The Super Constellation Flyers gave a very enjoyable presentation at the European AIrshow Council Convention on what they do and the risks involved. As part of the support Breitling gives them, they are obliged to participate at some events for Breitling. In 2013, RIAT is one of those events.
They also do display the aircraft, though it is usually just circuits and flypasts in various configuartions. If you go to the Sanicole Airshow later in the year you will see it in the air.
